Tell us about your role.
I look after the entire candidate and employee experience overseeing talent acquisition, talent development and employee engagement. The role is to partner with the team to create a strategy on how to attract, engage and retain our employees while building a high-performing and fun culture.
Why did you join?
I spent many years in large tech firms and while I loved gaining exposure in these organisations, I was looking for a company that was scaling and in growth mode where I could bring my experience and make an impact. The reason why this excites me about ParaFlare is the great people and culture! I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from the team.
What do you love about your job?
I love meeting people and learning about what makes them unique – their career journey, their life stories and getting to know how I can help them succeed in their role. I really love problem solving, learning and building rigour around processes so that teams can focus on their work and I can help make employee’s lives a little bit easier.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I’m very much an outdoors person – I love running, surfing, fishing and getting out with my family. I love to read autobiographies and management books, cooking and enjoy painting when I’m feeling creative.
What gets you out of bed every morning?
My boys (husband, son and our gorgeous golden retriever); exercising in the fresh air; and I actually love my job so that helps me get out of bed with a bounce.
